Notes on Stuffies

Stuffies are a New England local food.  They are stuffing and clam meat, served on a clam shell.  You can buy them in supermarkets and seafood stores all over the place.  Microwave for 45-75 seconds.  Yummy.  They come in regular and spicy, but the spicy ones are only medium hot.

Stuffies sold at Portuguese shops included charizo (a Portuguese sausage) as well as clam.  Although orange in color, they are not spicy.

Wine Cooler

Only three required ingredients:
1. Eye of the storm rose' wine from Sakonnet vineyard.  Other wines may be substituted.
2. Orange Dry Diet soda.  Other sodas may be substituted.
3. Ice.

In a tall glass mix the three ingredients.  Makes a great "lunch at the beach house" drink.  If you need to do things in the afternoon, use about 25% wine, 75% soda.  If you have no plans in the afternoon, then 60% wine and 40% soda.

Notes:
Diet grape does not work as well as diet orange dry.
Diet tonic water does not work at all!
